Monochrome displays

  • Graphic displays
    With the widest range of monochromatic and colour LCD modules, there are practically no limits to your requests: GSR Technology Italy offers you the highest quality and our products are guaranteed to satisfy almost any request in terms of size, resolution, colour, technology and backlighting. This means that you are almost certain to find a display that suits your needs.
  • COG-LCD
    COG (chip-on-glass) LCD modules are available in a wide range of resolutions. COG technology displays offer the advantages of low weight and low power consumption. Contact is via a FPC connector or pin.
  • TAB-LCD
    Compact TAB (Tape Automatic Bonding) LCD modules are available with resolutions ranging from 128 x 64 to 320 x 40 pixels. These are ultra-thin, lightweight displays with a very low energy consumption rating, which means they are particularly suitable for portable instruments.

GSR Technology Italy's industry standard approved TFT displays include standard TFT-LCD modules, high brightness TFT LCD (sunlight readable displays), Ultra Stretched LCD Panels, High Brightness 2000cd/m², Wide Viewing Angle, Long lifetime modules, as well as Slim TFT panels with controller boards and TFT LCD solutions for extended temperature applications.

Our TFT displays may be used in either Portrait or Landscape mode. The TFT displays, which are available in monochrome or colour versions, may also be supplied with integrated Resistive, Saw, IR and Capacitive touch screen solutions. The TFT display modules are also available with various different types of interfaces, including MCU, RGB, TTL and LVDS, eDP and more.

TFT modules can be used in numerous market sectors, including: industrial control, vending machines, medical equipment, POS systems, automation, GPS navigator, home appliances, energy control, telecommunications, gaming, digital signage, military, etc.

GSR Technology Italy offers a wide range of small, medium and large TFT display products, ranging from 1.44"up to 98", as well as customised TFT solutions.

  • VFD displays
    VFD (Vacuum Fluorescent Display) technology offers increased luminance compared to LCD technology, and is used in the automotive, medical and domestic appliance sectors, to name but a few.
  • Transparent TFT
    A transparent TFT display may be integrated with the touch screen function. These devices can be used to create authentic showcases for exhibiting objects, while simultaneously displaying filmed presentations on a transparent background. Transparent TFT displays are, as the name suggests, highly transparent, and consume 90% less electricity than conventional TFT since they use backlighting units.

O-LED display

GSR Technology Italy is a leading supplier of the latest technology products, such as OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) displays, on both glass or flexible film substrates.

OLED displays are brighter, thinner, faster and lighter than their LCD counterparts and feature significantly better contrast.

OLED technology offers several advantages over an LCD: wider viewing angle and 50 times greater contrast (the lack of polarizing films allows higher transmittance and 180 ° visibility on each axis of the display without significant variations in viewing performance), low power consumption, (the lack of a backlight means that OLED devices consume much less power than LCD displays), no temperature compensation required, fast reaction time (even at low temperatures).

OLED technologies are subdivided into 2 macro categories: passive and active.

Passive OLEDs (POLED) are subdivided into 2 categories: PCOLED (Passive Character OLED) and PMOLED (Passive Matrix OLED), their distinctive feature is that a single emission colour is used for the entire display surface. The most common commercially available versions are yellow, red, green, blue and white, all of which use a black background, making them a viable alternative to monochrome LCDs since passive OLED may also can be customised in terms of size, shape and lifetime, depending on the needs of the specific market and customer requests.

Active OLED displays (AMOLED) are only available in the matrix version (Active Matrix OLED), their basic feature lies in the fact that they use a matrix of RGB LED points, which means it is possible to manage up to 16 million colours. Thanks to this feature, AMOLED technology represents a valid alternative to TFT displays.

A/D Board

A/D Board

The LCD controller board, also known as the A/D board, has been designed to provide a wide range of connectivity solutions, so that it is possible to select from a variety of video input sources.

The controller board must also include a specific integrated firmware for the associated TFT panel, as these are not all configured in the same way, while the LVDS (low voltage differential voltage signal) connection may differ, depending on the model and brand.
